La Tavernetta Uno Da Simone brings the classic charm of a Sicilian seafood restaurant right into the heart of Syracuse, and the location on Via Cavour instantly adds to the experience. Walking through this lively part of the city, it is easy to notice the welcoming atmosphere, especially when the outdoor seating starts filling up with guests enjoying long meals, glasses of wine, and fresh coastal flavors. The restaurant has that relaxed Italian energy where conversations flow naturally, plates arrive packed with color, and the smell of seafood and herbs drifts through the air. From casual lunches to slower evening dinners, the setting feels comfortable without trying too hard, which makes it appealing for both tourists and locals exploring Siracusa.
The menu leans heavily into seafood specialties, giving visitors the chance to enjoy dishes inspired by the Mediterranean coast while still offering vegetarian options for those looking for something lighter. Fresh ingredients seem to guide the experience here, and that balance between hearty seafood plates and healthier choices keeps the menu versatile. Alongside the food, the drink selection helps complete the atmosphere with wine, cocktails, beer, coffee, and stronger spirits all available depending on the mood. Some guests stop by for a quick bite and a drink, while others settle in for a longer evening filled with multiple courses and late-night dining.
Another thing that makes La Tavernetta Uno Da Simone stand out is the flexibility of its service options. Whether someone prefers dine-in meals, takeout, delivery, or onsite services, the restaurant keeps things convenient without losing its authentic personality. The casual yet energetic vibe works especially well for travelers wanting a genuine seafood experience in Syracuse while still enjoying the comfort of friendly service, relaxed seating, and classic Italian hospitality.

Had a wonderful dinner here. Small resturant with friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Pasta dishes were awesome and seafood fresh and delicious. The swordfish carpaccio was tasty with perfect mix of lemon zest, capers, Oliver oils, salt and pepper - highly recommended. Bigoli with clam, prawn, scampi and pistachio crust was amazing. The tagliatelle Siracusa and tagliatelle with mushroom were also top notch. All with great balance flavors and perfectly cooked pasta. I would highly recommend giving this place a try and will try to revisit before leaving Siracusa.
The seafood pasta was, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked pasta, incredibly fresh seafood, and a rich, well-balanced sauce that tasted authentically Mediterranean. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, the service attentive without being intrusive, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. If you appreciate genuine Sicilian cuisine and outstanding seafood, this place is absolutely worth visiting.
If you want real Sicilian seafood in Syracuse, eat here. I ordered fried calamari, fries and risotto ai frutti di mare. Every plate showed control and respect for ingredients. The calamari arrived hot and crisp. Light batter. Tender inside. A squeeze of lemon lifted the flavor and kept it fresh. No excess oil. Clean taste. The fries came golden and well cooked. Crisp outside, soft inside. Simple, but done right. The risotto stood out. The rice stayed al dente. Creamy texture without heavy cream. Mussels, clams, shrimp and calamari tasted fresh and balanced. You feel the sea in every bite. The kitchen nailed the timing. That makes the difference. Service moved fast. Staff paid attention. The place felt local and honest. You pay for quality and you get it. Book a table and order seafood. You will leave satisfied.
